Urbanisation Maryvilla
‘Discover the Maryvilla urbanisation in Calpe’.
An exclusive residential area in a privileged natural environment that offers for the vast majority of the properties stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea, Calpe and the Peñón de Ifach.
Its original name was Mar y Villa and became popular with the contraction ‘Maryvilla’.
Most of the houses in this urbanisation were built between 1970 and 1979 with surfaces ranging between 150 and 180 m2.
It is characterised as a quiet and private urbanisation and is a popular choice for both permanent residents and holidaymakers.
And although it appears to be a quiet and secluded area, there are two restaurants, a tennis court and a public swimming pool. There is also a charming little beach about 7 metres long, where you will find another restaurant known for its authentic Mediterranean cuisine.
In the same vicinity is the new marina ‘Puerto Blanco’, which with its recent refurbishment will offer modern nautical and recreational facilities. This marina is ideal for sailing enthusiasts and has around 150 moorings for boats, a diving school and other water activities, making it a highlight in the area.
The project also includes the construction of two restaurants, a chiringuito on the beach and two other hospitality establishments with an elevated pedestrian walkway.
At Maryvilla, the real estate opportunity offers a number of options for those looking to acquire a property. ‘Click on this LINK to discover your ideal villa in this area.’

In short, the Urbanisation Maryvilla enjoys a Mediterranean climate with mild winters and hot summers.
the Maryvilla urbanisation, the well-known viewpoint located in the northwest, which offers breathtaking panoramic views, stands out:
Morro de Toix viewpoint:

This viewpoint offers spectacular views of the bay of Calpe, the Peñón de Ifach and, on clear days, even the island of Ibiza. To get there, you can start the route from the highest part of the Maryvilla housing development, following the signs to the viewpoint. The walk is short, approximately 10 minutes from the end of the road, but it can be steep in some sections. If we pass to the other side we can see the town of Calpe and its surroundings, as well as to the south, with views of Altea and Benidorm. It is an ideal place to enjoy sunsets and the natural beauty of the Costa Blanca.
Mascarat Castle:

In the southwest of Maryvilla we will find with a little more difficulty the Mascarat Castle, also known as Castellet de Calp, is an ancient fortification that is located at an altitude of 256 metres above sea level, in a strategic position that allowed to control the bay of Calpe and the old royal road that crossed the Mascarat gorges. Built between the 12th and 14th centuries, it served as a watchtower to prevent attacks by Barbary pirates, who were common in the region during that period. The fortification was erected on the remains of an earlier structure and used materials from the old Calpe Castle. Although much of the original structure has disappeared, the base of the castle is still preserved. Access to the castle is possible via trails that offer panoramic views of the coast and the surrounding mountain ranges, making it an attraction for hikers and history buffs. But it is important to note that, due to its state of preservation, caution is recommended when visiting the site and to respect the indications to preserve this historical heritage.
