Urbanisation Canuta: Alta, Baja and Ifach

The La Canuta urbanization, located in the northwest of the municipality, is awell-established residential area divided into Canuta Alta and Canuta Baja.This area is known for its tranquil environment and proximity to the sea,making it an attractive place for both residents and tourists.

La Canutais approximately 2 kilometers from the center of Calpe, providing easy accessto services, shops, and restaurants. Additionally, it is just 400 meters fromthe sea and the newly renovated Puerto Blanco Nautical Club, soon to be renamedMarina Port Blanc. This marina will feature over 200 moornings, a promenade,commercial spaces, and restaurants, offering opportunities for nauticalactivities and beachside leisure.

Within the LaCanuta urbanization, we find three distinct areas: Canuta Alta, Canuta Baja,and Canuta de Ifach.

  • Canuta Alta: Situated in an elevated area with panoramic views of the sea and the Peñón de Ifach. Many of its homes have southeast or south-facing orientations, ensuring ample sunlight throughout most of the day.
  • Canuta Baja: Located closer to the sea and Puerto Blanco, this area has a more variable orientation, although most homes face east or southeast, allowing residents to enjoy the morning sun and clear Mediterranean views.
  • Canuta de Ifach: This term is often used to refer to a specific area within the urbanization, featuring luxury villas with privileged views of the Peñón de Ifach and the sea. Many properties in this area are south or southwest-facing, maximizing natural light and open views.

The LaCanuta urbanization, located in Calpe, Alicante, experienced significantdevelopment during the tourism and residential boom of the 1960s and 1970s.

Over theyears, La Canuta has evolved into a consolidated urbanization, balancing residentialtranquility with proximity to the sea and Calpe’s town center. The current realestate offerings range from detached villas to apartments and bungalows,catering to the needs of both residents and visitors.

La Canutais an urbanization with a rich history, closely tied to Calpe’s tourismdevelopment. Over the decades, it has successfully adapted to market demands,maintaining its appeal as a desirable residential destination.
